Casey W. Smith – Managing Attorney
A passion for helping individuals and businesses is at the heart of Mr. Smith’s practice. With nearly a decade of litigation and legal service experience, he brings two decades of client relations expertise and a client-centered approach to every interaction. He believes in treating every client like family, stepping into their shoes to fully understand both the legal and human concerns they face.
At the core of his philosophy is the understanding that, above all, the law is about people. Having personally navigated the legal system and worked with attorneys from the client’s perspective, Mr. Smith often says he has been on both sides of the phone. This unique experience gives him deep insight into what it truly means to seek and provide legal counsel.
This perspective sets him apart, allowing him to approach every case with empathy, compassion, and a commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for his clients.
Mr. Smith’s legal journey began as a paralegal, where he graduated in the top 5 of his class. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the University of Houston–Clear Lake, graduating cum laude, and later obtained his Juris Doctorate from South Texas College of Law–Houston.
No stranger to adversity, Mr. Smith prides himself on his resilience, hard work, and determination—qualities that he brings to every case he handles.

Sarah Smith – Paralegal
Sarah is an Intake Specialist and Legal Assistant in our Houston Office. She is a Native Texan and is happy to be back in Texas after living in central Arkansas for over 20 years. Sarah is a graduate of the Paralegal Certification Program at the University of Houston-Downtown (UHD), where she earned her Paralegal Certification. With a deep passion for law and justice, Sarah aspires to attend law school and eventually pursue her goal of becoming a judge.
Known for her kind-hearted nature and strong work ethic, she is dedicated to making a positive impact in the legal field. Outside of her professional pursuits, Sarah enjoys reading and writing, continuously expanding her knowledge and honing her skills. When she is not working, Sarah may be found taking her fur babies to the beach.

Jessica Sotack – Legal Assistant
Jessica plays a key role in helping new clients navigate the complexities of their legal journey. As an essential member of our intake team, she ensures each client feels heard, supported, and informed from the very first interaction. Drawing on her diverse background in gym and insurance sales and management, Jessica excels in client communication, problem-solving, and supporting individuals through high-stress situations.
Before joining Case Law Legal, Jessica had a distinguished career as a professional MMA fighter. Her experience in mixed martial arts instilled in her discipline, resilience, and determination—qualities she now applies to her work at the firm. Just as she fought with tenacity in the ring, she channels that same fighting spirit into advocating for clients and guiding them through their financial and legal challenges.
Jessica is passionate about helping others, with a strong faith that drives her commitment to treating each client with kindness, respect, and understanding. Her compassionate nature, combined with a proactive attitude and dedication to client success, makes her an invaluable asset to the team.

Daniella Guerra – Legal Assistant
Daniela Guerra is a legal assistant at Case Law Legal. She is a first-generation Mexican American who grew up between two cultures, which has shaped her ability to connect with clients from diverse backgrounds. As a bilingual professional, Daniela helps ensure clear and effective communication throughout the legal process.
She began her legal career in June 2024 as a personal injury legal assistant and joined Case Law Legal in June 2025, where she focuses on debt lawsuits, judgments, and receiverships. Daniela is currently majoring in English and plans to attend paralegal school to further her legal career. In her spare time, she works as a part-time makeup artist and enjoys shopping at Sephora.
